Looking Forward to David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis

Well if you love drama films and the Twilight Saga star, Robert Pattinson (who finally ditched the fangs!), you’re in for a smart, edgy, thrilling treat!
Cosmopolis is based on the prophetic novel by Don DeLillo, who has written 15 acclaimed influential novels through the late 20th and early 21st century. DeLillo has teamed up with Writer/Director David Cronenberg and the result turns a futuristic novel into a portrait of the world now!
It’s a wild, hypnotic odyssey through our millennium and our obsession with power, money, technology, violence, mortality, sex, revolution, destruction, and ultimately redemption (all in classic Cronenberg fashion).
Eric Packer (Robert Pattinson) is a 28-year-old financial kid and a billionaire asset manager. Along with that comes a tricked-out stretch (Hermetically sealed Limo) that he takes to get a haircut from his father’s barber. This luxe trip takes him across Manhattan while the city turns into a dizzyingly hellish nightmare. Parker’s perfectly ordered world and wealth is all about to implode after having started the day with everything, believing he is the future!
This film feels more relevant now than ever; a man fighting for meaning in a lifeless world. I found it riveting!
ALSO STARRING: Juliette Binoche, Sarah Gadon, Mathieu Amalric, Jay Baruchel, Kevin Durand, K’Naan, Emily Hampshire, Samantha Morton, and Paul Giamatti
