It can’t be true James Bond is half a century old! Ouch!
The amazing thing is he just keeps getting better with age, and so do his toys! What I love about James Bond is he’s never out of character (or Tuxedo) and never grows up. He never changes his drink! Can you imagine James asking for a rum and Coke? And his car is always an Aston Martin…
Ok I admit it, I am a fan. I have a Bond fixation and I have never grown out of it. (One of my favorites was Goldfinger). I still love the Bond girls; it’s like they’re part of a private club for only the most beautiful!
The new Bond film due to release November 9th is Skyfall. It’s been exactly 50 years since Sean Connery was announced as Bond in Dr. No and it’s the 23rd Bond that will actually open within days of when Dr. No opened; very timely for the golden anniversary. Skyfall looks like it has all the right elements of a classic bond movie including lots of Bond action. Bonds loyalty to M (Judy Dench) is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As M16 comes under attack, 007 must attack back and Bond will be driving his classic DB5.
As for the lovely new Bond interest (Berenice Marlohe), GQ touts her as the sexiest, deadliest, Frenchiest Bond girl of all time and she loves to be naked! While Berenice describes her character as part Dragon, part Black Panther, she sounds perrrrrfect for James Bond. The fabulous director, Sam Mendes says “she has a kind of sensuality and danger that’s quite out of fashion… It’s the sort of thing that the Bond Franchise has traded in over the years,” and I for one can’t wait to see it!
My favorite James Bonds are Sean Connery, Daniel Craig, Pierce Brosnan, Timothy Dalton, Roger Moore and George Lazenby! I guess I love them all!
